Occasionally our Training Agency’s customer NVQ learners are in need of significant levels of additional support in order to achieve their qualifications. One such learner, who came to us, had both learning and significant social difficulties as barriers to achieving the construction NVQ 2 needed to secure his job and to progress within his employment.
Through the support provided by Ron and Ismail, this individual was not only able to achieve this qualification but went onto gain two NVQ level 3 qualifications, get promoted into a supervisory role in his workplace and then win two regional LSC ‘Learner of the Year’ awards for the progress he had made despite his disadvantages. Giving people the power and support to take control of their own lives and careers can really make a difference.
