Our standard full time working hours are 37 per week, Monday – Friday. In some parts of our business, such as in our Contact Centre and Homeworks, staff work a variety of shift patterns. We also offer part time opportunities; benefits and terms & conditions apply on a pro rata basis for part time staff.
Where operationally viable, staff are able to work flexi time arrangements which provides staff with some flexibility with working hours whilst ensuring service levels are maintained.
WM Housing Group’s leave year runs from January – December annually. The Group offers generous leave in addition to the usual Bank/public holidays that are observed in England. Upon joining, new employees receive 22 days leave + 3 concessionary days which, for most employees, are taken during the Christmas/New Year period when our offices are closed. Annual leave entitlement increases with service up to a maximum of 25 days after 5 years. Leave is calculated pro rata for part time employees and for employees joining part way through the holiday year.
Eligible employees have the opportunity to join a contributory pension scheme. In addition to employee contributions the employer also contributes to your pension arrangement. Details are provided on joining.

Staff are able to access independent advice, information, and support for themselves and family household members through the EAP, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year either online or by phone.
WM Housing Group are proud to offer childcare vouchers to help employees with childcare responsibilities. This provides employees with the option to take part of their monthly salary in childcare vouchers with savings on tax and national insurance. Information is provided to new employees upon joining.

Our performance management system links employee performance with our vision and values and provides opportunities for staff to receive incremental pay awards annually linked to our salary model. Staff receive regular feedback on their performance and a formal annual review of performance with their manager.
WM Housing Group takes the health and safety of its employees seriously. Employees who are regular users of VDUs receive free eye tests once every 2 years. The Group operates a voucher system with a national opticians.
