The JGCP meets once every 3 months in Worcester and is co-ordinated by our central Customer and Community Engagement Team. It brings together customer representatives from the five partner housing associations within WM Housing Group, who are passionate about customer involvement and believe, as we do, that it is an essential aspect of our housing services. The representatives are all members of their local association’s Customer Panel.
The JGCP’s role is to:
- Monitor the implementation of the WM Customer Involvement strategy and action plan
- Provide an opportunity for the local association customer panels to meet each other, provide support to each other, and work together to help ensure that effective and appropriate customer involvement is at the heart of all we do across WM
- Meet key members of delivery staff from across WM to learn about and discuss key Group-wide policies, strategies and initiatives. This is so they can provide a customer perspective and help shape these key pieces of work both in the planning stage, and also to provide on-going input when they are being implemented – providing a customer view-point to help ensure they are effective
