A mix of housing purchase options and property types will be available, including specialist accommodation for the over 55s. The homes will be built over the next four years and in consultation with residents.
Along with its partners, WM Housing has secured £9.3m worth of funding for 438 homes across the West Midlands.Welcoming the news, Kevin Willetts, Executive Director of Development with WM Housing, said: ‘We all know there is a shortage of housing across the country and I am delighted that we are playing our role in North Solihull and the West Midlands to tackle this issue.
“Together with our development partners we have shown our ability to be creative and flexible in ensuring we deliver our new homes programme and I am sure this is reflected in the HCA’s decision to award us all of the grant we bid for. For residents in North Solihull this means we’ve been able to secure the maximum grant we requested, which will ultimately provide local families with high-quality accommodation, of the right type, at the right cost and in the right locations.
“I would like to thank the HCA and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council for their support in helping us achieve this level of funding.”
