Our Finance Team has made the final of the Housing Finance Awards.
The team earned its place at the prestigious national awards after being recognised for creating new monthly management reports which have transformed the way financial performance is monitored.
The team was also noted for its impact as we transitioned into a single operating structure.
We are nominated in the Finance Team of the Year category and are up against four other organisations.
The awards will be held at the biggest housing finance event in the country – the Housing Finance Conference and Exhibition – at the ACC in Liverpool and will recognise the best across the sector.
The new reporting system has reduced the time taken to issue consolidated Group financial performance reports by around six days each month.
Chief Financial Officer Stuart Kellas said: “It is fantastic news that the team have been recognised for their hard work by being named as finalists in the Housing Finance Awards.
“The value of their work has been seen right across the organisation.
“The team have been instrumental in helping the organisation change over to a single operating structure and have helped us get easy and quick access to data, which allows us to monitor our performance better.”
Director of Finance Anna McOwen added: “The team’s hard work has been rewarded through this award nomination.
“Each person in the team has used their strengths, but also helped their colleagues learn and develop new skills. Their team work is very commendable.
“The team is more focussed and driven than ever and this will help continuous improvement over the next 12 months.
“We wish them the best of luck for the awards ceremony next month!”
The ceremony will be held on March 20 at the Housing Finance Conference and a panel will decide the winner ahead of the night.
