A Herefordshire housing association is calling on its customers to boost their skills and work prospects by applying to a £10,000 Skills2Work fund.
Kemble Housing, which manages 1,300 homes across Herefordshire, launched the fund to pay for training and activities that could help improve work prospects that customers would not otherwise access.
The fund is administered through Kemble’s Active Community Engagement programme known as the ACE project and customers can apply for up to £250.
Cath Warren, training and community development worker, at Kemble Housing, said: “Times are tough and we are doing all we can to help people to build up their skills and confidence and get back into work.”
Kemble customers have benefited from the Skills2Work fund attending courses ranging from first aid, introduction to counselling, and City & Guilds in employability, personal development and customer service but the association is keen to encourage more customers to come forward.
Kemble Housing is part of WM Housing Group.
