Colin Dennis has been appointed as the new chairman of WM Housing Group.
Colin has enjoyed a distinguished career in the financial and aviation sectors as well as a wealth of experience in non-executive roles in regulated sectors including the NHS, social housing and adult care and social services.
Group Chief Executive, Kevin Rodgers, said: “We believe that Colin’s experience of leading organisations through profound change, while maintaining compliance, good governance and achieving commercial success will be a powerful asset to the Group.
“We are certain that his strong track record of success and considerable strategic ability will help us continue to achieve our business objectives.”
Colin Dennis said: “Housing faces enormous challenges and potential for change, these will extend much further than the well-publicised welfare reforms and austerity measures. Sound governance and measured risk management are now more essential than ever.
I want my chairship to be inclusive and supportive, based on trust and competence while always remembering that the Board has a fundamental duty to challenge and oversee the governance and performance of the whole organisation.”
Colin will start his new role on 1 January 2016 when the current chair, Roger Griffiths, stands down at the end of his term of office.
