Big-hearted staff at Whitefriars Housing are helping to make sure families dependent on food banks don’t miss out on Easter this year after donating 40 chocolate Easter eggs to Coventry charity, Carriers of Hope.
The charity helps low income families in Hillfields by providing essential items including food and nappies.
Sandra Doyle, money advice officer at Whitefriars Housing who helped to organise the donation along with colleague Clare Butler said: “We read about Carriers of Hope in the Coventry Telegraph and decided to support them by using the proceeds of a raffle we held at Christmas.
“Hopefully it will make a child’s day and show them that there are people out there who care.”
Carriers of Hope is accepting donations of non-perishable foods, baby items, toiletries and furniture.
