Whitefriars staff support women and children fleeing domestic abuse

Kind hearted housing staff at Whitefriars Housing in Coventry are collecting for Coventry Haven, an organisation that provides safe housing and support services for women and children leaving abusing relationships.

The charity was put forward by Whitefriars Lettings Officer, Karen Marshall.

Mrs Marshall explained her reasons for nominating Coventry Haven: ‘This small organisation does vital work helping women and children to flee domestic violence.’

‘In the current climate, where funding is in short supply, they rely heavily on donations from the public so we’re encouraging colleagues to donate items on Coventry Haven’s wish list including toiletries, items for a pamper night and activities for youngsters.’

So far, staff at Whitefriars office in Little Park Street have donated money and almost 70 items for the charity.
